Felix isn't the most fortunate or nicest person in the world. 

In said world, AI technology has wormed its way into everyday life and has made people more withdrawn, and anti-social. Most people want to get away from an otherwise mundane or painful reality they find themselves in.  Felix moved up from the lower-middle class of Sector 3 to the more advanced Sector 1. Albeit, without a plan, or much of a budget to speak of, and tons of emotional baggage.

After getting kicked out of his previous job for "disorderly conduct" with nowhere to go, Felix gets roped into having to maintain an ever chaotic work/life balance after being hired by the Paradiso Corporation. A corporation banking its success on enticing the masses into AI generated realities and companions via their Virtual Reality simulations.  

Felix must socially navigate his workplace, spending time with his co-workers and bending the knee to his corporate superiors. Some he'll keep at arms length, and some will end up closer than he'd like.  All the while, he's unwillingly paired up with his designated AI companion Maria.

Will he manage to integrate successfully or will he spiral out into disaster?
